Nika Urbach

Nika is an associate consultant at Löning.
Nika has a profound interest in the intersection between climate change and human rights, as well as the role of transnational corporations in fostering a just and green transition for all.
With an interdisciplinary background spanning economics, politics, and law, Nika excels in analysing human rights policies from a comprehensive perspective. Her expertise lies in the responsibilities and regulations of transnational corporations across international investment law, climate change law, and green finance. She brings insights to Löning from various international legal spheres regulating the green transition.
Before joining Löning, Nika worked for the Environmental Policy Clinic at SOAS and the Environmental Law Foundation, where she assessed the advancement of local climate policies by diverse stakeholders in the UK. Additionally, she actively participated in international climate negotiations (COPs) as a member of the German youth delegation. Her experience also extends to working with the German Foreign Ministry’s department on foreign climate policy and involvement in numerous climate justice advocacy groups.
Nika holds an MA in Environmental Law and Sustainable Development from SOAS University of London. She also graduated from Sciences Po Paris and the Freie Universität Berlin with a double BA in Social and Political Sciences.
Nika speaks German, English, French and Spanish and is learning Arabic.
