Naz Akyol-Caglar
Head of Marketing and Communications & Consultant
Naz is the head of marketing and communications at Löning, where she leads our branding, marketing, and communications efforts. In addition to her role, she also works as a business and human rights consultant.
She brings extensive experience in project and programme management, strategy consulting, private sector partnerships, sustainability communications, and advocacy.
Before joining Löning, Naz worked as a programme lead and private sector partnerships advisor at UN Women, where she led the national chapter of a global flagship initiative in collaboration with brands, businesses, creatives, and academia. During this time, she co-designed and led an award-winning social impact campaign to end gender-based violence. She also contributed to the UN system, as a coordination specialist, supporting collaboration between UN agencies to ensure gender equality was integrated into their work and policies across various topics and sectors.
Prior to her time at UN Women, Naz worked as a project management consultant for international and intergovernmental organisations on EU-funded development and technical assistance projects, focusing on human rights issues, particularly international migration and gender equality.
Naz holds an M.A. in European Studies (Political Economy) from King’s College London and a B.A. in International Relations from Bilkent University.
She speaks English, Turkish, and French and is currently learning German.
