German Chancellor Fellow

Mariana Rezende is a German Chancellor Fellow (2022-2023) hosted by Löning. 

Mariana is an expert in human rights and alternative dispute resolution methodologies. She is interested in multichannel approaches to achieve redress for human rights impacts and has experience in strategic litigation, stakeholder engagement, advocacy and policy research. At Löning, she is focused on the establishment and improvement of company-based grievance and redress mechanisms for human rights adverse impacts along value chains.

Before joining Löning for the German Chancellor Fellowship, Mariana worked in Brazil as an alternative dispute resolution professional in cases of extrajudicial reparations with international repercussions.

Mariana is a law graduate and holds a MSc in Constitutional Law from the Federal University of Minas Gerais.

She is a native speaker of Portuguese, fluent in English and Spanish, and conversational in German.
