Mariana Rezende is a consultant at Löning.
Mariana is an expert in human rights and alternative dispute resolution methodologies. She is interested in multichannel approaches to achieve redress for human rights impacts and has experience in strategic litigation, stakeholder engagement, advocacy and policy research.
Mariana spent a year as a German Chancellor Fellow at Löning, where she delved into the experiences and challenges faced by German companies in implementing grievance mechanisms in line with LkSG and global standards. Before joining Löning for her fellowship, Mariana worked in Brazil as an alternative dispute resolution professional in cases of extrajudicial reparations with international repercussions.
In her role as a consultant at Löning, she focuses on developing and enhancing company-specific grievance and redress mechanisms for addressing human rights impacts throughout value chains.
Mariana is a law graduate and holds a MSc in Constitutional Law from the Federal University of Minas Gerais. She is a native speaker of Portuguese, fluent in English and Spanish, and conversational in German.
