Katharina is a consultant and head of legal at Löning. She supports clients from different sectors in developing and implementing human rights due diligence along their value chains. Her work is focused on regulatory developments on the national and international level. She is particularly interested in exchanging with affected stakeholders and connecting with experts on the ground.
During her two-year legal traineeship, she gained experience working for a multidisciplinary law firm, the district attorney’s office, the civil district court and a government agency.
Katharina studied law in Münster, Germany with a semester abroad in Honolulu, Hawaii. She has passed the first and second legal state examination and holds an LL.M. degree in International Law with a focus on Business and Human Rights from the University of the West of England in Bristol.
